Christmas Holiday SURVIVAL Kit - Do you have one?

Have you noticed how quickly Christmas comes upon us every year?
Why it seems as though we have only just got over one lot of holidays and we are again dressing the Christmas tree and working out what to buy for Christmas gifts, designing luncheons, suppers and snacks for all the visitors and trying to complete a workload at work to match!
Is it any wonder we get exhausted and feel burnt out before the event is here?
Furthermore many of us plan to attend family events that are done out of obligation not real joy. These choices that are made to keep the peace, keep spouses and families happy and do not serve everyone's real truthful connection to the LifeSource and each other create extra stress that may result in negative emotions and reactions over the coming days.
Is it any wonder that for some the Christmas season is approached with dread rather than joy?
So how do we do it?
Well one of the things we can do is prepare our own Christmas Joy Survival Toolkit. I have a box that my son made for me as his first woodwork project. Just looking at it and holding it brings back memories of all the Christmases when he was young and how his face lit with joy at the gifts Santa brought!
These are the sorts of things it could have in it....
1) Rescue Remedy Flower Essences - a must in any toolbox - no matter what! A few drops under the tongue can immediately ground me back in my presence.
2) A CD of music that allows you to experience a moment of 'time out' - a place of recentering - one of my favourite's is a Bach for Meditation - Adagios.
Slow, continous soothing note by note that releases the tension and brings me back to the Eternal - ness of my connection to the LifeSource, to LOVE
3) A rose quartz crystal heart that fits my palm and is sooo smooth to feel. I hold it in my hands to send out an intention of love to all I know... a prayer if you like for the world.
An example might be:
May the love, joy and peace that is this season's gifts come through me,
stay with me and flow to all around the world today and always.
4) A candle to light with matches. You can light this at the beginning of your time out and let it burn until completely gone, knowing that the Universal presence of LOVE is with you at this time.
5) The Smiley Cards - are a great tool to bring back your sense of humour and lighten your mood.
6) An Allen's MINTIE - (a chewy mint) because it is at times like this you need MINTIES!
7) Your 'letter to you' of self love and appreciation.
8) Grounding technique - place your hand on your head and say aloud. Ground, Align, Connect, Protect, Seal, Energise. Take a deep breath and let go. These words bring you into alignment with the core of you. You will feel more settled, centred and clearer in your thinking.
9) Anything else you would like to add.
And this is what you could do with your Toolkit....
- Make a ritual
- Light the candle (it can be a tealight if you wish) - and ask your angels to be present to witness and love you, to help you get through this stressful time.
- Put on your music
- Take your essences
- Say your prayer
- Be still and rest in the space for as much time as you can.
- Ask the angels for the help you need
- Thank the angels for assisting you
- Eat your mintie.
- Ground yourself
- Leave the candle burning until it goes out on its own.
- in clarity and groundedness move forward.
You will find your mood has shifted and you will feel more energised.
